1960's Hong Kong Magazines

One of my favourite interests is on the Chinese dress, known as the Cheongsam in Cantonese and Qi Pao in Mandarin. It is simply a gorgeous and elegant dress which manages to give off a sexy edge at the same time! The pictures above are of authentic Hong Kong Magazines from the 1960's era i managed to get hold of from my former tuition teacher who used to read them in her younger days (she is in her 60's now).....they are in good condition and i'm sure would be well sought after by movie directors such as Wong Kar-Wai who direct films based on the 1960's in HK....i have access to a big stack of them and they make for interesting reading........(such as articles on social etiquettes and how a 'proper refined lady' should dress, eat and behave)....i will elaborate later when i have more time......PS: For those familiar with the Chinese entertainment scene, the above pic features on one of the mag's covers Josephine Xiu Fong Fong and on another mag cover Jen Jen (both extremely popular in the 1960s)!
